Reading Mary Poppins
A while back I saw the Broadway production of Mary Poppins. Surprised by the differences between the play and the movie, I decided it would be wise to read the books that inspired these productions. With the movie Saving Mr. Banks coming out soon, it was time to finally sit down and read them.
The first book Mary Poppins, Mary is not quite as charming as she was in the film, nor where there all of the characters and scenes from the Broadway play in this book. Some chapters have even been changed from the original version, my copy was produced in 1997. For me, I would like to do further reading, the rest of the Mary Poppins series and then a unedited version of the first book.
