Yesterland

There's one site you have to visit if you love Disneyland history: Yesterland! It is full of accounts and pictures of long gone attractions that used to live and breathe in Disneyland. My own love of Disney would not have been watered and grown as it has, if not for this website where I've spent countless hours looking at pictures, reading about how Disneyland used to be, and imagining how it all was.

Thank you, Werner Weiss, Curator of Yesterland for all of the hard work you've put into Yesterland, a place many wish they could visit.

Thor at Disneyland

Just got back from the Disneyland Annual Passholder preview of Thor: Treasures of Asgard and Thor: The Dark World. It was a nice set up inside of Innoventions.

The Throne.

Thor & Me.

They even have Thor Photopass Cards.

Oh yeah... the movie was excellent. It lives up to the high standards Marvel has set for their recent releases. May Thor live a long and prosperous life. . . . If he can.

Walt’s Barn in Griffith Park

A little known free Disney attraction is the Barn Walt Disney used to house his trains and tools at his house on Carolwood Drive. Now located in Griffith Park and open to the public on the third Sundays of every month, it is full of Disneyana and railroading ephemera. Lots of historical items and souvenirs fill the walls. Also on the grounds are a Retlaw1 Combine from the Disneyland Railroad before the cars were altered for quicker loading and unloading; and an exhibit about the upcoming Small World's of Walt, some of the original buildings from Disneyland's Storybookland Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train need restoration.
